Announcements
The Announcements application is where you can post news and pictures about your group. It appears on your weboffice home page where members are sure to see it.
The latest headlines appear at the top of the list of postings; urgent announcements appear in red so that members see them right away. To see the full story, just click a headline.
Announcements features a rich text editor, enabling you to create customized announcements and newsletters for your group. You can cut and paste documents and web graphics into the editor with all the formatting and links preserved. Font sizes and colors, margin settings, even tables and pictures will all appear right in your weboffice site.

Calendar
Calendar helps keep members up-to-date by displaying a schedule of personal and group-wide events, such as:
- Department meetings Upcoming deadlines Company holidays
- Birthdays and special events
You can also use Calendar to post important files with events, such as meeting agendas or driving directions.

Contacts
Contacts is your online catalog of people whose contact information and pictures you want to make available to other members of your weboffice. Contacts can include any outside partners, clients, vendors, suppliers, friends, or family members.
Contacts also work in conjunction with Microsoft Outlook and Palm Pilot. You can import, export, and synchronize your contacts list with Outlook and Palm, so when you make additions or changes to one device, you can merge the data with the other devices. This not only saves you time, but it also insures accuracy between devices because you enter data only once.

Databases
While your weboffice comes with over a dozen ready-made weboffice applications, it probably doesn't have an application for every type of data your group or company uses. For example, there is no built-in issue tracking application. Nor do the ready-made applications always exactly match how your company refers to the data. There is a contact manager, but you may refer to them as customers and not contacts.
The general term for an application that stores and shares information is a database. Your weboffice comes with a database application that allows you to create your own databases, customized for how your Market Center does business.

Discussions
Discussions are divided into forums, or topics to enable focused discussions. Within each forum, you might find several different message threads relating to the forum.
To start an online discussion, first create a forum, and then, add messages to the forum. After you start a discussion, email members to invite them to join the discussion with a link pointing directly to your message.

Documents
The Documents library is where you can safely share files with other weboffice members. Find documents by browsing through folders or searching, and then, either preview the files within your weboffice, or download them for instant use.
The Documents library is completely integrated with Web Folders, enabling you to access the documents on your weboffice through the familiar Windows environment you use every day. With Web Folders, you can save documents from Microsoft Word-or any other Microsoft Office 2000 application-directly to your weboffice. For more information, see Setting up Web Folders.

- Create and maintain drafts of expense reports
- Track the status of certain expenses
- View summary reports of all expenses by type
- Print reports to submit for reimbursement
You may add items to your report and work on a draft before printing and submitting it for approval.

Links
The Links section of your home page is where your group can share online resources. Start a list of the websites that you find useful so that others in your group can also take advantage of them.
There are two types of links in the Links section: Group Links and My Links. Everyone in your weboffice community can see Group Links. Only you can see and add to My Links.

Members
The Members application is your online directory of weboffice members. Members are the people in your group who have officially registered for your weboffice. They can access virtually all parts of the intranet and can typically post information there, too.
Depending on what you're using your weboffice for, you can invite coworkers, friends, family, or teammates to become members of your weboffice community. Members helps you keep in touch with other members by allowing you to send email to an individual member, to a subgroup of members, or to all members. You can also export your Members list to Microsoft Outlook or Palm Pilot.

Polls
Any time you're looking to make decisions, establish a consensus, or get group members involved and communicating on your weboffice, a poll is a great way to start. There are two types of polls you can set up: single-answer polls and multi-answer polls. In single-answer polls, members may choose only one answer to your question. In multi-answer polls, members may choose multiple answers.

Synchronize
Synchronize allows you to import and export information to and from your weboffice. You can do one-way imports and exports or synchronize. Synchronization compares the data in your intranet to the data in Outlook or Palm, and then, makes any necessary changes to both systems to make sure they contain the same data. For example, you can:
- Export your weboffice member list to Outlook or Palm
- Import all the contacts you have in Outlook into your weboffice
- Synchronize events on your Palm with events in your weboffice calendar
- Synchronize tasks in your weboffice with those in Outlook
